It's very important to have your eyes tested every two years, not just in case you need a new pair of glasses, but for your general health.
Eye tests can often pick up diseases, commonly glaucoma, which is the second largest cause of blindness. With early detection, treatment and other steps can be made to prevent vision problems and eye diseases from worsening.
Eye tests have also been known to pick up on other health problems such as high blood pressure and diabetes.
Please be aware that if you have diabetes or high blood pressure, your check-ups should be more regular to prevent your vision from getting worse and ensure no damage is being done to your retina.
